In 1978 I became a real estate agent. Never did I think I would become a national real estate speaker and trainer … yet that’s what I’ve become. I have been speaking to real estate agents for two decades. One of the benefits is having the opportunity to work with directors, coordinators and planners as yourself.
One day I was in the audience listening to a speaker give advice about the real estate business. I realized that he clearly had not been face to face with the public in a very long time. His information was hopelessly dated. I made a decision right then an there to continue to sell along with my speaking business. That way what I have to say is relevant to my audience. I know what they face, I’m in it too. I never want to lose touch with what’s really going on in the marketplace. Staying current in the business has kept my ability to communicate with the agents. I fully understand what they want and need as well as the problems they are facing in today’s market.
